Culturespaces, the European creator and manager behind the critically acclaimed Atelier des Lumières in Paris, has partnered with IMG to open the Hall des Lumières digital art center in New York.
28,000 ft² space located at 49 Chambers Street in the former Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank, a beaux-arts landmarked building across from City Hall Park.
Hall des Lumières will use advanced and unique technology to create immersive exhibitions dedicated to some of the most celebrated figures in art history.
The exhibitions are accessible to all generations and will be designed to complement the venue’s interiors of marble, columns, bank tellers, stained glass windows and sculptures to enhance the unique multi-sensory experience.
Audience
Atelier des Lumières in Paris has attracted more than three million visitors in less than three years to experience digitised works of art from the likes of Vincent van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci, Claude Monet and Gustav Klimt.
The recently opened ‘Bassins de Lumières’ in Bordeaux has welcomed more than 300,000 visitors in the first three months.
